Darrell Loyd

Darrell Dee Loyd went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the age of 84. Darrell was born on July 29, 1938, in Lewis, Colorado to George and Gladys Loyd. Darrell enlisted in the Navy out of high school and served 4 years as a seaman apprentice. He moved his family from Cortez, Colorado to Andrews, Texas in 1993. Darrell had a love of horses and spent much of his time working with his own and teaching his grandchildren how to barrel race. Aside from his love of rodeos and horses, his family was his pride and joy! The love he had for his family was felt throughout and his absence is going to be felt each day by all that were blessed enough to know him. Darrell is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie; & his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Pete and Doug Loyd and sister, Vickie Harter; Sons, Danny Loyd & wife Coral, Donnie Loyd & wife Tanya; grandchildren, DJ Loyd (Kat); April Gomez (Cody), Chantel Book (Frankie), Katelyn Scott (Cody); great grandchildren Decker Loyd & Bexley Gomez. Chapel service will be on Saturday, May, 20th @ 11:00 am in the chapel of Andrews Corgill Funeral Home with officiating Pastor Tim Pickerel.
