Darrell Eugene Poe, 66, of Mooresville, passed peacefully with family at his side on Monday, April 28, 2025. He was born in Greencastle on February 18, 1959 to the late Robert Eugene Poe and Patricia Louise (Davis) Poe.

On June 4, 1977, he married the love of his life Brenda Kathern Scott. They have been married for over 47 years. Darrell enjoyed swimming, camping (some could argue glamping), car shows, and Euchre. He was an active member of the Greenwood Bible Baptist Church where he proudly drove the church bus.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends including his wife, Brenda Poe of Mooresville; son, Robert "Bobby" (wife, Ashleigh) Poe II of Mooresville; daughter, Angela (husband, Jimmie "Jay") Johnson of Martinsville and Ashley (husband, Todd) Poe-Johnson of Indianapolis; brother, Douglas (wife, Julie) Poe of Morgantown; 8 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia; sister, Debra Yates; and grandchild, C.J. Poe-Dowell.
