Born March 13, 1953 at Idabel, Oklahoma to Barbara and LeRoy Williston, Darrell lived a life
filled with laughter, family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was preceded in death
by his father; sisters, Kim Qualls, Peggy Williston and brother, Russell Williston.
Darrell's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, showering them with love and
creating cherished memories. He was a devoted family man, known for his quick wit and
infectious sense of humor. He brought laughter to every gathering, leaving a trail of smiles in his
wake. His passions were many and varied: from the thrill of shooting pool and bow fishing to the
simple pleasure of spending time in nature. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed the
tranquility of nature, and summer days shooting snakes brought him a unique form of
satisfaction. And who could forget his love for dancing and his undeniable love for the jalapeno
cheeseburger from Sonic.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Mitchell; daughters, Tamara Houston, Misty Manning and
husband Kyle; sons, Dobber Williston, Cody Williston and wife Ashley; grandchildren, Kendall
Flowers, Stoney Williston, Kagann Williston, Loic Williston, Sierra Manning Raeleigh Williston,
Riley Williston, Hallie Williston, James Houston; great-grandchildren, Rylan Flowers, Saddler
Manning, Cadence Houston, Sophie Houston, Ava Flowers; sisters, Debra Aguirre and husband
Edward, Angie Pierce and husband Ricky, Brooke Williston; numerous other relatives and many
friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the
Clardy Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. www.lung.org
