Darrell was born in Ontario, California to Alvah and Ruth (Riddle). He married Doris U. Zulauf on July 2, 2000 in a beautiful park setting. Darrell passed away just 11 days before their 25th wedding anniversary.
Darrell was still in touch with his old school friends. He has many good friends and will be missed by many of them. Darrell was a member of the Salem Elks for many years. He was also in the RV Club and he enjoyed camping with his friends. He also enjoyed the 4 Seasons Recreation Club.
Darrell had four children from a previous marriage. He is survived by his wife Doris Salem, OR Terry of Stockton CA. daughter Tammy Trackmorton of Camarillo, CA, son Todd of Salem OR, stepdaughter Arlene Stubling of Sponheim, Germany, stepson John James of Salem, OR. He also had 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Darrell was preceded in death by his son Tom.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday July 26th in Harvest Time Pentecostal Church located at 600 16th Street N.E., Salem, OR, at 2:00 PM. On Saturday August 9, 2025 at 3:00 pm, 2 days after Darrell's 85th birthday there will be a memorial celebration in the Club House, located at Paradise Island Mobile Park, 3100 Turner Rd. SE, Salem, OR. Food and drinks will be provided.
