Darren Sexton

Darren Sexton, 53, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Darren was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Sexton.

Everyone who knew Darren knew how much he loved riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed anything related to vehicles and racing - a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. Darren will always be remembered for his strong spirit, his love for adventure, and the deep love he had for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Shelley Sexton; his father, Edmon Lamar Sexton (Karen); his children, Kristin (Wesley) Ferrell, Victoria (Dakota) Sexton, and Logan Sexton; his stepchildren, Cody (Jocelyn) Haynes, Katie (Luke) Jones, and Cain Haynes; his siblings, Rebekah (Adam) Dingler, Danielle Moore, and Sarah (Tony) Keyes; and his grandchildren, Chip and Dash Ferrell, Charlie, Harper and Everlee Haynes, Isaac, Liam and Leo Jones.

Those who knew Darren will remember his loyalty, his stubborn strength, his big heart, and the way he loved his family with everything he had. Darren has taken his final ride, but his spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A funeral service for Darren will be held Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 5:00 pm in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA, with Nancy Gunter officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 4:00 to 5:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Darren's memory to a charity of your choice, or contributions may be made toward supporting his family during this time.
