Darryl Lawrence Fawcett

Darryl Lawrence Fawcett died peacefully in Houston, Texas on September 5, 2025, at the age of 89. Darryl is survived by his son and daughter. His son, Wayde and wife, Farhana; daughter Jan, grandchildren, Amira, Shayna, Riley and Dean; great grandchildren, Naya, Raji, Lila and Zain; half-brothers; Mike and Tom Duoto and wife, Vicky. Darryl is preceded in death by his loving wife, GiGi of 64 years and his son Mark. Darryl Lawrence Fawcett was born June 20, 1936, to Myrtle and Bill Fawcett in Hillsboro, Texas. He attended Peabody High School graduating in 1954. He met the woman of his dreams, Gloria Gene Duoto and they were married July 3, 1957. For the past 55 years Gloria has worked tirelessly in her community for charitable organizations. She participated as a volunteer and in many instances was an executive officer. She was most proud of her involvement with the Houston Delta Gamma Foundation, Champions Women's Club, Northwest Assistance Ministries, the American Heart Association, the National Panhellenic as an Advisor, and John Wesley United Methodist Church. She knew everyone in the neighborhood, and everyone knew her. For our family Gigi was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. A Memorial service has been planned to celebrate her life.
