Darryl Wayne Schofield, 51, of Belton, Missouri, passed away July 9th, 2025, at KC Hospice House. Darryl was born January 9, 1974, shortly after his twin brother, Donald, to Blanch and Ozzie Schofield. He was the youngest of their 11 children.
He was a 1992 graduate of Hickman Mills High School and worked for 20 years as a diesel mechanic for Jack Cooper Transport. Darryl enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, listening to old country music, and eating Taco Bell. Darryl was an amazing mechanic and could usually be found working on cars. or anything with an engine. He told the best stories, complete with hand motions and sound effects.
Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, Blanch and Ozzie, and three of his seven brothers: Ronnie, Steve, and his twin brother, Donald. He is survived by Heather and their son, Alex, siblings Brenda Fordyce, Debbie Cronley, Teresa Ellis, Danny Schofield, Bobby Schofield, John Berry, Ervin Schofield and their spouses, plus many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He had a lot of friends, several of whom were life-long buddies.
Darryl’s celebration of life will be:
