"I have fought a good, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith"
(2 Timothy 4:7)
On Sunday, June 16, 2024, Darryl Wilson slipped away to rest. Our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ is too wise to make a mistake, and saw fit to call him home to rest. He was
preceded in death by his parents the late Freddie Joe and Barbara King Wilson.
Darryl was born on July 28,1962, in Lake City, Florida. In the early years of his life, he
moved to West Palm Beach, Florida and attended Suncoast High School. He was a
brave, loving and fearing man as his personality portray. He was affectionately lovingly
known as "D Boy ''. He was cherished and admired for his carefree approach to life,
living it to the fullest without constraints, regardless of the circumstance of life. Darryl
spent all his life being a good son, brother, uncle, and a friend to many. He loved,
trusted and dependent on his sister Tammy. He knew that Tammy was only a phone
call away.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents (James "Bud" Wilson, Mamie Cole
Wilson, Cohen King Sr and Gussie King Bias), uncles (Cohen King Jr, James Louis,
Michael "D" Wilson), aunties (Patricia, Sylvia, Cynthia, Billie Jean, Jackie, and Sandra),
and one niece and one nephew ( Jamiell and Tamaria Wilson).
Darryl leaves behind his: two sisters Tammy Wilson, Shirley Wilson, one brother Shawn
Brown. As well as many nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, aunts (Betty

Dixon, Lake City, Florida; Phyllis Wilson, Lake City, Florida; and Shirley Harris, Broward
County, Florida), uncle (Willie Bias Jr. Lake City, Florida), and a multitude of friends.
Darryl was a wonderful person who extended so much love, wisdom, and kindness to
those he met. He will be missed by many and especially by the ones who held him
dearly.
