Daryl A. Howard
June 11, 1958 - July 23, 2024
Daryl A. Howard, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning July 23th surrounded by his beloved family at Light ways Hospice. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and selflessness that will be cherished by all who knew him. Daryl will be deeply missed by his surviving wife Kimberly Howard along with his children Trudy Sanders, Ryan Howard, Brandon Howard, DJ Howard, Hailey Howard, Reid Howard, as well as his adored grandchildren Wesley, Christopher, Braxton, Teagan, Mariah, Sal, Gabby, Sage, Dakota, Olivia, Lily, and Noah. In addition to his immediate family are his siblings June Howard, Carol Sanchez, Rita Allison, Wesley Howard, Stanley Howard along with numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish him forever. He proceeded in death by parents Reid and Catherine Howard, his children Kristin and Christopher Howard, along with his brother Marvin Howard.
During his remarkable career spanning 30 years, he dedicated time and effort to companies such as ComEd, Midwest Generation, and NRG. Daryl was renowned for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. His favorite hobbies were fishing trips, hunting, spending time with his kids, watching westerns, and enjoying nature.
His children fondly recall the special bond they shared with their father doing various things together such as going out to eat, running errands, going fishing, hunting, and any random side quest he had for them that day. They embraced each task with enthusiasm and spontaneity. Their father as their best friend and mentor who imparted valuable lessons that shaped them into the remarkable people they are today. Daryl's presence was a guiding light in their life, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and unwavering love.
A visitation service will be held on August 1st from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel Ltd in New Lenox.
Daryl's proudest accomplishments revolve around being an industrious worker and a devoted father. His passion for life shone through in everything he did.
The world has lost a remarkable individual whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of many. Daryl's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
