Dathene (Dottie) Elaine Kasey, beloved wife, mother, aunt, grand aunt, great aunt and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Norman, Oklahoma, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, surrounded by love. She was 97 years young. Cremation services are entrusted to Craddock Funeral Home of Ardmore. Her ashes will be interred at Hewitt Cemetery in the Pass family plot, alongside her late husband, Stephen Kasey and her two treasured dogs, Bernie and Kasey. Dottie was born on June 24, 1927, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to the late Charles Coachworth Pass and Nellie Lucille (Robinson) Haney. She was raised in Wilson, where she attended Rexroat School and graduated as Valedictorian. At a young age, she was baptized at the First United Methodist Church of Wilson, and at just 11 years old, she rededicated her life to the Lord - a faith that would guide and sustain her throughout her life. After high school, Dottie moved to Dallas, Texas, where she pursued business studies at the Dale Carnegie Course College of Business. It was during these years that she met and married William Lee (Bill) Hamilton, Jr. Together they welcomed their beloved son, Richard Michael "Mike" Hamilton, on November 11, 1950. In 1955, the family moved to Enid, Oklahoma, where Dottie began her long career at Liberty Federal Savings and Loan. Through dedication and determination, she rose through the ranks and retired as Senior Vice President after 32 years of service. Later in life, Dottie was blessed to find love again and married Stephen Kasey in Enid. They spent many joyful years together until Stephen's passing in 2007. In 2010, Dottie moved to Norman to live with her son, Mike. There she became an active member of McFarlin Memorial Methodist Church and found great joy in participating in her women's groups, line dancers and church activities. Family remained the center of her life, and she treasured time spent with her nieces, grand-nieces, great-grand-nephews, and great-grand-niece. Dottie will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her kind and generous spirit, her remarkable career, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. She touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of grace, resilience, and warmth. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Charles, Richard, Nolan, Jerry, and baby Dan; her husband, Stephen Kasey; her son, Richard Michael Hamilton; her nephew, James Pass; and her stepson, Mike Kasey.
