Dathony Bruce Sutton was born on Thursday, June 9, 1955, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Jack and Laura May Sutton. Bruce departed this world on Sabbath, July 26.

Bruce was on the autism spectrum. He was a delightful person and loved his family and friends. Brucie was a member of the Volunteers of America and Service Source organizations for 20 years.

Bruce leaves to mourn six brothers and sisters: Barbara Lee Brown (Joseph), Peggy Marie Belford (Leroy), Royce Mansfield Smith (Barbara), Carol Patricia Jackson, Cheyenne Yasmin Sutton, and John Christopher Sutton, and one aunt, Alberta Thomas. Bruce also leaves his nieces and nephews: Darryl, Dennis, Lisa, Stephanie, Sandy, Laura, Chuck, Linda, Donna, Thomas, Jeff, Timothy, and Lauren; and a host of great- and great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
