Dave Lehman

Charles David (Dave) Lehman January 24, 1949-March 28, 2025

Dave was born in Wabash, IN on January 24, 1949, to John and Rebecca (Elshire) Lehman. He grew up in Wabash and attended St. Bernard’s and Wabash High School He moved to North Manchester in 1970 where he lived until his death. He Married Jeri Benton on July 19, 1985. Dave worked at Wible’s Shoe Store for many years. Dave also worked at Strauss Veal Feeds, The Manchester Foundry, Manchester High School, and Shepherd’s Chevrolet.

Dave loved to bowl and was always in a bowling league at Oak Park Lanes and a member of travel league bowling. He played in the summer on men’s slow pitch softball and was in pool league here in North Manchester. Dave was an active member of North Manchester Moose Lodge 1518 (where he loved to play euchre and Texas Hold ‘em) and The American Legion Post 286. He loved the Cubs and Bears, old westerns and Andy Griffith. He loved all sports including high school and college basketball and IU football.

He is survived by his wife Jeri (Benton) Lehman, daughters, Lori (John) Burnsworth and Erin Lehman. Sons John (Lillian) Lehman and Ryan (Tosha) Lehman. Grandchildren, Michael Lehman, Laura Vanlandingham, Jordan Arnett, Lyndsay McClure, Jordan Burnsworth, Nicholas Quon-Lehman, Ryan Quon-Lehman, Mackenzie Quon-Lehman, Kyle Quon-Lehman, Dalton Hughes, Morgan Hughes, Jaxon Hughes, Cole Hughes, Devin Hughes, Elijah Lehman, Raegan Lehman and Faith Wine. Dave also has 4 great grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by sisters Mary Lehman, Tina (Ron) Wagers and brothers Larry (Mindy)Lehman and John Lehman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim Lehman, sister Sue Lehman and his daughter Michelle (Jerry) Hughes.

Family and friends may call Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with calling beginning at 9:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in North Manchester.
