David Paul Accardo

David Paul Accardo, 66, of Beaumont, died Friday, June 6, 2025. He was born in Beaumont and lived there his entire life.
David was a kind, fun loving person who enjoyed visiting with his friends. He almost always had a coffee cup in his hands and would make his weekly rounds of afternoon coffee with many.
David worked with his parents at Spic and Span Cleaners for most of his adult life. When Bando's opened in 1982, he began working part time and what a perfect fit helping customers with the imported food and speaking Arabic to those who had just come to the US. And of course, he was an expert in coffee beans, since he had tried them all. He had a love for customers and over the years they became his good friends.
David graduated in 1977 from South Park High School, and he loved his neighborhood and never left it. David dealt with type 1 Diabetes since he was 10 years old. He struggled with many health issues but always bounced back and it never left him down.
David was an excellent cook in both Italian and Lebanese Cuisines. He worked for many years in the kitchen for the St. Michael's Middle Eastern Dinners and was chair for a couple of years. He was Treasurer of the L'fanar, a club which is part of the Southern Federation of Syrian Lebanese American Clubs.
David loved to travel. Round Top and antiquing were a favorite, along with trips to Dallas to see some of his favorite family.
Survivors include several first cousins, and his Bando's work family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Paul Accardo.
David had a love for dogs, so a memorial contribution to Beaumont Pets Alive, 46718 IH-10 East Winnie, Texas 77665 would be a fitting tribute to him.
A gathering of David's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 680 North 15 Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A celebration of life lunch will follow at Bando's, and his graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
Acting as pallbearers for David will be Ronnie Moses, Sam Accardo, BJ Tullier, Charles Duit, Chris Miller, Alex Bando, Joe Accardo, and Wesley Mouton, along with honorary pallbearers, Chichi Bando-Duit and Penne Bando-Duit- the loves of his life.
