Meeting Dave at the original Silvers Gym in Franklin, MA. He was kind, genuine, and self-deprecating, and we became fast friends. He was hilarious. We all loved him.

I met Dave at the original Silvers Gym in Franklin. We became good friends immediately. We made many friendships at that gym, from going out on Nancy's boat, yo visiting Don and his perfect Corvette in his garage. Dave went with us to the Junior Nationals in VA. We were at the beaches, bars, parties, you name it. I loved Dave. We disconnected when our lives changed in the mid 90s, but I fondly remember all our Buffet concerts, Cape Cod vacations, and just working out together at Silvers Gym. RIP, Dave. You were one of a kind. Love you man! He left an impression in my soul I walk with every day.

Our condolences to the family. There are so many many memories and funny stories that we shared with Dave. After meeting at Silvers Gym in Franklin MA. Dave made so many friends after moving to MA and he certainly made his mark. We were lucky to get a chance to go back to Erie to meet his parents, family and friends, many years ago. We will cherish our time with Dave and he will truly be missed.

I´m so very sorry to hear of his passing. Dave was an amazing family friend of my parents and was always there for my siblings and I. I have endless childhood memories filled with happiness and laughter that was provided by Dave. He truly had the best spirit. My sister and I would wake up early when he was visiting and throw stuffed animals at him until he woke up and he always acted like it was the most fun he had ever had. "Shmave" you are forever in our hearts and your memories will live on through your tremendous spirit. Love you always, rest in peace, Shmave.

I was so saddened to hear of Dave´s passing. He wasn´t just a friend, he was part of our family. Dave was at our dinner table at least once a week, (usually more) during the time that we lived in Massachusetts. Any holiday when going to Erie wasn´t an option he would spend it at our house. When we moved to NJ Dave used to drive down to stay with us if he didn´t go to Erie for Christmas. Mr. And Mrs. Adams would always send us boxes of homemade pasta and cookies for Christmas. My kids and their friends grew up with Dave. He was like a favorite uncle. He was so good with them. In 2015 I had to go through chemotherapy. During that time Dave checked in on me every single week to see how I was doing. That meant a lot to me. I got to see Dave last summer when I was in Massachusetts. I´m so glad I did. It was good to catch up and reminisce about all the fun we all used to have. I will miss him. Cindy Chiappisi

I am so sorry to hear of Dave´s passing. He and i met at the gym in Franklin ma, years back. We spent time together, visiting Newport RI, eating and being merry at the Rome in Franklin center, and many other good times. We lost touch but he was in my mind often.
My condolences to all friends and family.
