David Bruce Adams, 70, from Lawrence, IN was called to Heaven on June 28, 2024. He was born June 18, 1954, in Indianapolis, IN to Richard and Deloris Adams.
David was proud he made it to 70 years old. He loved sports; football, basketball, hockey, NASCAR, finding himself to be a huge Jeff Gordon fan, and loved to play golf with all his friends. He had more friends than you could possibly count, and what a wonderful friend he was in return. If he loved you, he loved you with all his heart. David loved to have fun and go on adventures. He was loved by all children, and was always up for a pushup challenge with his grandkids. His pride and joy was his 2003 burgundy Chevrolet Suburban (quadrasteer). He worked for many construction companies over the years, retiring from Riedling Services in 2020. He was a member of the McGreggor Road Baptist Church where he was known as Mr. David, the Candy Man.
David is survived by the love of his life, Susan Miller; son, Rob Horton; daughter, Cherie (Billy) Campbell; granddaughters, Gracey, Hannah, Rebekah, and Rachel; grandson, Michael; great granddaughter, Ariayah; sisters, Wendy Hale, Trudy Catchings, Nancy Warren, and Bonnie Horton; brothers, Willard Adams and Danny Adams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Deloris Adams and daughter, Shelly Donoho.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Oaklandon Cemetery, Indianapolis.
