HEYBURN - David Gene Anderson, 83, of Heyburn, Idaho died September 5, 2024, in Rupert, Idaho.
He was born July 28, 1941, in Elk Creek, Nebraska to David Anderson and Estella Kaster. He was the final addition to the family joining his older brother, Clifford.
He graduated in 1959 at Twin Falls, Idaho.
Served National Guard from 1963-1969 at Ford Ord, CA. Married Johann Dorchak March 30 1963.
He was best known for his time running Maxie's Pizza and at Simplot. In his free time, you could find him reading his favorite author, Louis Lamour, camping or tinkering in his shed. He loved to talk.
He was survived by his children: Jeri Chapa (Anderson) and Gene Anderson-Rice and Don Rice; his grandchildren: Amber (Young) and Aaron Snider, Robert and Melissa Young, Anthony Young, Trenika Anderson and Cergio Chapa; also survived by his great-grandchildren: Anyssa, Jaykob, Dominic, Kenzi, Carleigh, Brielle, Jarron, Brayden and Joshua.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Johann, his brother, Cliff and grandchildren: Heather Young and Jenny Rice and sister, Mary.
The family would like to thank Countryside Care and Rehab for all the love and care they have for him.
