DAVID ALAN ARNALL
David Alan Arnall, passed away June 17, 2023 at his home in Peculiar, Missouri at the age of 72.
Dave was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 2, 1951 to Martha B. (Farnsworth) and Forest G. Arnall. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Glenda Vickery.
Dave graduated from Grandview Missouri High School in 1968 and from Central Missouri State University with his Bachelor of Science and Master's degree in Secondary Education. He was a teacher of Industrial Arts and coach of football, track, cross-country and golf at Raymore-Peculiar Schools for 26 years, retiring in 2002. Dave had an affinity for competitive sports and took great pride in his coaching career at Ray-Pec. He remained an avid supporter of RP Wrestling and RP Football, was the teacher everyone remembers and still called Coach.
Following retirement from Ray-Pec, Dave began a second career. He and business partner Debbie Hughes formed Dado Inc. and enthusiastically operated the business for more than twenty years until their retirement. Dave was a man of many abilities including building, remodeling, and painting houses. He was always willing to do the dirty work and strong-arm every difficult task. He built the homes in which he and his family lived, beginning in Raymore in 1973 and in Peculiar since 1995.
Dave and Sandy were married in 1971 and have two daughters, Shelly Arnall and Kathryn Arnall and three grandchildren, Elijah and Asa Van Trump of Raymore, MO and Melody Arnall-Moreau of Littleton, CO. Dave wore many hats but none more proudly than that of Papa Dave; Papa to many and the greatest of all.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held at a later date, this was his wish and details will be relayed soon. The family has asked you to share your memories of your time with Dave. Please bring or send pictures, written stories that include all the questionable details, Dave-isms and lessons shared these are the moments that march on and honor the spirit of a life well-lived. They will be collected in book form and serve as testament to Dave's ornery nature, work-ethic, what you see is what you get realness, love of Crown, the KC Chiefs and NFL, and friendships with many.
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD. TEAMWORK MAKES A TERRIBLE TASK TOLERABLE. PLAN YOUR WORK AND WORK YOUR PLAN. TAKE A HOT LAP. IT'S ALL COOL IN THE MOTOR POOL.
He will be missed fiercely.
