David Lynn Atkinson, Sr.

David Lynn Atkinson, Sr., affectionately known as "Buck," passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on February 10, 1961, Buck demonstrated a zest for life and a warm spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

A proud resident of Shannon, Mississippi, Buck was a beloved figure in his community. Throughout his life, he embraced challenges with a steadfast determination and a sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. His dedication to his family and friends was unwavering, and he will be remembered not only for his kind gestures but also for the strength of his character.

In honor of Buck's life, a Visitation will be held on July 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. The following day, a Celebration of Life will take place at Johnson Chapel MB Church at 2:00 PM. 

Viewing will take place one hour before the service. Buck will be laid to rest during a Funeral Service on July 3, 2025, at Johnson Chapel MB Church Cemetery. This will provide an opportunity for family and friends to gather in remembrance and reflection.

Buck's legacy of kindness and love will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will endure through the memories shared by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
