DAVID ELWYN BAERWOLF,
62, of Lapeer, died unexpectedly August 5, 2022 in McLaren Lapeer Region. He was born January 2, 1959 in Cass City to Elwyn Lewis and Dorothy Juanita (Ball) Baerwolf. He married Carol Wonders.
David graduated from Sandusky High School and attended Concordia College in Ann Arbor. He entered into the U.S. Army in 1983 and was honorably discharge with the rank of SP4 in 1987. David's career was in communications and he worked with various companies throughout Arizona, Texas, and Michigan. He enjoyed socializing and was fond of telling jokes and stories. Euchre was David's favorite card game. He loved time spent with his family.
David is survived by his wife, Carol Wonders; his sons: Nicholas (Sheena) Baerwolf of Joplin, MO; Joshua Baerwolf of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Ayden Baerwolf, Riley Baerwolf, Aeramae Baerwolf; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Luann Baerwolf; brother, Richard Baerwolf; niece, Angela Beals.
Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Pastor Jake Geiseler of Faith Bible Baptist Church of Lapeer officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston

I only knew "yogi" from what I knew him by for a short period of time from him frequenting senor Lucky's but during that time we got to be good friends he was such a jokester and enjoyed making us his baked goodies he will be missed that's for sure seems unreal we have to say goodbye to such a kind and loving man rest in peace yogi and thank you for all you did for our country
