Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Elevated Missionary Baptist Church, 307 Bell St, Franklin, KY, 42134. Funeral services will be held the same day at 1:00 PM with interment to follow at New Hope Baptist Cemetery in Portland, TN.
David was born April 23, 1962 in Franklin, KY to the late Thomas Bailey and the late Hattie Hogan. He is also preceded in death by 2 siblings, James Bailey and Christopher Bailey.
Wife of 11 years, Walisha Bailey of Franklin, KY; 4 Children, Tonya Bailey (Toliver) of Adairville, KY, Derrick Moore (Tennae) of Chicago, IL, Jalen Bailey (Kayla) of Portland, TN, Jaera Bailey of Chicago, IL; 7 Step Children, Jordan Banks Sr. of Cleveland, TN, Dominique Banks (Jackie) of Portland, TN, Lucas Woods of Franklin, KY, Lakisha Strong-McCory of Franklin, KY, Antoine Strong (Jonica) of Lexington, KY, Albert Strong of Georgetown, KY and Rickey Strong (Valerie) of Mobile, AL; 20 grandchildren; 2 siblings, Raymond Bailey of Franklin, KY and Rita Ann Bailey of Richmond, KY; 3 special Nieces, Camilla Nunley Indianapolis, IN and Shane' Bailey of Lexington, KY and Amy Wix of Franklin, KY; and 1 nephew Amiel Bailey of South Carolina; William Lock and Marsha Lock.
David was a member of Elevated Baptist Church in Franklin, KY. He was a Franklin-Simpson High School Graduate. He loved to sing, cook and to spend time with his family.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory to help pay for the funeral expenses. 325 W. Cedar St. Franklin, KY, 42134. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
