David Walter Bauguess passed away at the age of 80 in his home in Grand Junction, CO. He was a caring husband, loving father and devout supporter to anyone that needed him. He leaves behind his wife Barbara, son Dave (Christina), grandchildren Andrew (Hannah), Eli and Jeremiah, and great-grandson Anderson.
David was a dedicated educator who retired teaching high school choir and computer classes and continued to work as a piano technician well into retirement and made many friends along the way. He wrote a successful series of books for use by music educators that are still in publication and studied technical writing to write manuals for software products.
He touched a great many lives, always leaving them better for the experience. He is missed and will always be loved.

I'll miss our long talks, traveling to visit Dave from New Jersey, then from New Mexico. We met at the University of Denver, sharing our love of choral music. As our careers took us in different directions geographically, we were able to touch base with each other through the years and continue this rich connection. Dave was a fine person.
