Richard Bauguess Obituary
Born in Wilkes County, NC on August 2, 1940, Richard was the son of the late James Dewey Bauguess and Janie Rose Bauguess. He was a retired teacher. He liked listening to bluegrass music and was a avid collector of everything, especially records. Richard loved his grandkids and his pets and enjoyed spending time with them. Richard never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor, always cracking corny jokes.
Surviving are his wife, Susan McNeil; daughters, Marian Cooke, Melissa Brewer; stepdaughter, Lisa Withrow; stepson, David Currie (Laurie); brother, Jerry Bauguess; grandchildren, Cameron Currie, Stephanie Bosher, Austin Withrow (Leslie); and great grandchildren, Kacen and Jaxxon.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
