David Gary Beberman, 65, of Middleboro, MA, passed away at home on November 10, 2025, after a dedicated and spirited fight against cancer that began in June 2023. He passed peacefully, surrounded by the family he so deeply loved.
Born in Boston on July 15, 1960, David was the son of the late Joseph and Ethel Beberman. He earned degrees in Math and Computer Science from Bridgewater State College before spending decades building careers right out of college at Autopart International and later at Ferguson Perforating, retiring in January 2025.
David was a hobby enthusiast: a lifelong gamer who knew the local arcade scene backward and forward before moving onto his custom home gaming setup; a meticulous collector of comics, stamps, and sports cards; and a devoted reader who devoured sci-fi novels. He also gave back to his community through years of volunteering with the Middleboro Lions and his time as a Boy Scout leader for his son Joseph's troop, and earning the Order of the Arrow. A talented musician, he once played the bagpipes for President Reagan's inauguration and was recently taking lessons again. He was also a proud Mason at the J. Philip Berquist Lodge AF & AM. Through that, he found deep brotherhood with the Brothers of the White Ash enjoying a cigar (or two). Last, but not least, he'd always find a Dunkin' drive-thru wherever he went and be sure to treat his wife to a tea and coffee roll, too.
While introverted at heart, David was known for his incredibly sharp wit. He was hilarious, armed with a perfectly dry and sarcastic sense of humor that he deployed with precision, usually over dessert or a shared meal out with his family. If you were loved by David, you never doubted it for a second-and you definitely knew when you were the subject of his well-timed joke. Above all else, he loved and fiercely protected his family his entire life.
David married his best friend, Denise (Barry) Beberman, on September 1, 1984. He is survived by his devoted wife, Denise; his sister, Robin Beberman of Bridgewater; his uncle, Larry Weisbaum of Randolph; his daughter, Sarah (Beberman) Barry and her husband Patrick Barry of Middleboro; and his son, Joseph Beberman and his wife Caitlin Beberman of Rockland, as well as innumerable friends and loved ones. He joins his parents, Joseph and Ethel, his four grandparents, and beloved aunts and uncles in rest.
Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral service on Wednesday, November 12th at 11:00 AM at Schlossberg Family's Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street,
Canton, MA. Following the service, burial will be at Plymouth Rock Cemetery, 1000 Pearl Street, Brockton, MA.
