David Kevin Beckmann, 60 of Sylvania, Ohio passed away
December 18, 2023, in The Toledo Hospital after a brief illness.
Born September 7, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio to Kenneth Bruce and
Karen Lynne (Ehrsam) Beckmann. David was a 1981 graduate
of Sylvania Northview High School. He was self-employed as a
painter Beckmann painting for 21years and he worked 20 years
for HR Block as a office manager and tax specialist. David was
a member for the past 17 years at the Sylvania Moose Lodge
1579 where he enjoyed playing on the mens pool league and the
Euchre League. David also enjoyed Disk golf with his high
school buddies. He was a gentle soul with a big smile whenever
you saw him.
Dave was preceded in death by his stepfather, Daniel Webster
Spencer, grandchildren, Audrey Grace Lewallen and Alexander
Thomas Lewallen.
David is survived by his wife, Kathy S. Beckmann of 23 years.
They were married on March 24, 2001, mother, Karen L.
Spencer, father, Kenneth (Hazel) Beckmann, children, Douglas
E. (Krystle) Lewallen II, Rodney W. (Andrea Ginter) Lewallen.
Grandchildren, Katarina M. Lewallen, Christopher D. Lewallen,
Matthew W. Lewallen, Victoria Minor, sister, Andrea L. Neely.
Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces,
nephews, great nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday
January 6, 2024, at the Sylvania Moose Lodge 1579 6072 Main
Street Sylvania, Ohio 12:00 - 3:00.
The family suggests memorial to Wounded Warrior Project, St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Cherry Street Mission.
