Cumberland, MD- David Royce Beeghly, 56, of Cumberland, MD passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Born July 19, 1968 in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Beeghly was the son of the Martha Jan (Rice) Beeghly and the late Richard "Dick" Milton Beeghly.
David graduated from Fort Hill High School Class of 1986 and attended Allegany College of Maryland. He worked many years for Barnhardt Security in Hagerstown and most recently was operator of Hawk-Eye Security with his fiancé Brandy. David was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church. He loved all music and really enjoyed playing the guitar. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Besides his mother, David is survived by his fiancé Brandy Ritchey; his brothers: R. Greg Beeghly and wife Ellen; Andrew Beeghly and wife Juli; Kent Beeghly and wife Krista; John Beeghly and wife Tina; and Brian Beeghly and wife Elizabeth; his feline companion: Bear; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tim Pratt, II officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 566, Cumberland, MD 21501-0566.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Cumberland Fire Department, the staff on ICU at UPMC-Western Maryland and WVU-Ruby Memorial and all the doctors who have cared for him over the years.
