Harold "Hugh" Beeghly

Harold "Hugh" Beeghly, 80, of Conrad, IA passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Beacon Christian Church of Conrad. Visitation will begin 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Luncheon will follow services in the church fellowship hall. Inurnment will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Arrangements have been entrusted with Anderson Funeral Homes. Hugh was born February 17, 1945, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Van Voltinbergh) Beeghly in Marshalltown. He graduated from BCL high school and went on to get an associate degree in business from Marshalltown Community College. He spent most of his career as a truck driver for several different companies, but the majority with ADM. He was united in marriage to Karna Brewer on June 12, 1971, at the Alice Church of God in rural Conrad. The two welcomed five children. Hugh was a devoted father and attended his children's activities any chance he could. In later years Hugh could be found playing cards, especially pepper, with his friends, or attending his grandchildren's activities. Hugh was also a member of the Beacon Christian Church of Conrad.
Hugh is survived by his children; Sara Beeghly, Wesley Beeghly, Vanessa Montoya, Kaily Beeghly, and Lindsay (Kenneth) Williams,10 grandchildren, and one sister, Linda Tasler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karna, and two sisters; Shirley Beeghly and Marceda Bevins.
