David Belaire Obituary

David Francis Belaire was born October 4, 1956 and died Monday, June 3, 2024, at the age of 67. A native of Loreauville, he also lived in Houma and New Iberia, as well as Houston, Texas. He died while in hospice care in Lake Charles.

David was a pipefitter and then became a welding inspector for various oilfield companies in the region, working offshore along the Louisiana and Texas coast and parts of Africa before retiring due to health conditions. He was a sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as raising livestock on his small farm. 

He is survived by his children Allison B. Bonin and her husband Lon Bonin of Moss Bluff, Danielle Belaire of New Iberia and Bart Belaire and his wife Megan of Lawrence, Kansas; his siblings Pauline "Polly" B. Dugas and her husband Randy, Francine "Franie" B. Dugas and her husband Joel, Bernardine "Deanie" Stewart and her husband Barney of Rayne, Sharon Oubre of St. Martinville and Glen Belaire and his wife Dodi of Spring, Texas; his former wife Liz Belaire of Loreauville; his grandchildren Bailen and Andi Bonin, Carson Gondron and Isabella Menard. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Clevens and Sylvia Belaire.

The family will have a private memorial service. All prayers for the repose of his soul are welcome and appreciated.
