Belleman, David, 65, passed away in the comfort of Hospice of Cincinnati on December 27th, 2023. Dave was born in Cincinnati, OH to Michael and Ruth Belleman. He graduated from Norwood High School in 1977. Dave was incredibly patriotic and a proud veteran. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, and completed 47 jumps as a paratrooper. He started his career as a firefighter in 1988 and worked for the Salisbury, NC fire department for 15 years. Dave also served in the Air Force Reserves and North Carolina Air National Guard as a certified Air Force Airport Firefighter. While in the Reserves, he volunteered to be deployed overseas just after 9/11. He also worked as a contractor and was a professional residential and commercial painter throughout his life. Some of his favorite memories were of vacationing in Clearwater Beach, FL with his family over many summers.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Belleman; brother, Jeff Belleman; and beloved grandparents Art and Nora Ruehl. David is survived by his mother, Ruth Belleman; his children Nick Belleman and Melanie Belleman (AJ Schwab); granddaughter, Brighton; niece, Kristin Belleman Davis; nephew, Brad Belleman; and great nephews Brycen Belleman-Allen, Blake Belleman, and Madix Davis. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
The family wishes to thank the supportive staff of the Cincinnati VA and Clermont county home based primary care team as well as the compassionate staff at Hospice of Cincinnati who helped care for David in his final months.
The family will greet family and friends at Hodapp Funeral Home (8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069) on a date to be determined in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or the Tunnel to Towers foundation (www.t2t.org).
