David Belnap Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Premier Funeral Services - Salt Lake City on Mar. 17, 2026.
Belnap, 59, of Lehi, Utah, passed away on March 11, 2026. David was born in Bountiful, Utah, to Darlene Howard Belnap and Bryan West Belnap. The youngest of seven children, David grew up surrounded by family and carried that deep love for people throughout his life.

He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York, New York from 1989 to 1991. He later attended Brigham Young University, continuing a life rooted in faith, learning, and service.

David was married on August 14th, 1993 in the Provo Temple to Rebecca Anne Chaston.

David worked for over 20 years as a realtor and was also known for his friendly presence as a Walmart greeter, where his warm smile and welcoming spirit brightened the days of many. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued.

He had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing and playing the cello. David also loved fishing and dancing, bringing joy and enthusiasm wherever he went. Those who knew him will remember his loving spirit, kind heart, and the warmth of his smile.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Anne Chaston Belnap, and his daughters Julie Anne Belnap, Miranda Fay Belnap, and Rachel Shannon Belnap. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Green and Beverly Jones, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

David's life was marked by kindness, faith, music, and a deep love for his family. His family finds comfort in the promises of the gospel of Jesus Christ and in the knowledge that families can be together forever.

David will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

We will miss his laughter, his music, and his warm smile, and we look forward with faith to the joyful day when we are reunited again.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 200 N Center St, Lehi, UT 84043.
