David Bonnett Obituary

He was born May 27, 1964 to Joseph and Delilah (Hurrell) Bonnett in Shelby. David had been a Shelby resident the majority of his life before moving to Columbus in 2007. He was employed with US Foods. David was passionate about music and playing the guitar.
David is survived by his daughter Briana (Chris) Reed of Johnstown, OH; sisters, Tammy (Bob) Vermillion of Shelby, and Cindy (Tim) Lord of Virginia.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Karen in 2021; and two brothers, Joseph Bonnett Jr. and Calvin Bonnett.
Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Barkdull Funeral Home, PO Box 644, Shelby, OH 44875.

I had the privilege of working with David at US Foods. David spoke often of his wonderful daughter. He was passionate about coaching and working with his drivers. He was immensely emerged and engaged with our US Foods customers and he made a positive impact with every interaction he had with them. He will be missed. Prayers to his family and friends.

I didn´t know David very long. I was a driver for him at US Foods. David was passionate about his guitars and music. Also very passionate about his daughter. Talked about her often. Briana you were very lucky to have him as your father. As a supervisor, he genuinely cared about his drivers also trying to look out for them. Even though I´d get mad at him about stupid things. I had a lot of respect for David. Rest in peace
