David Lamarr Bowers, 74 of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by those he loved.

David was born on Sunday, February 4, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio. He was the son of the late Eldon Bowers and the late Carol Colegrove. He was the husband of Joanne Parsons Bowers.

David had a passion for building model cars and was a proud member of the Middle Tennessee Modelers Association. He also enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels and other die-cast cars, hobbies that reflected his attention to detail and love for craftsmanship. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and sharing those moments with those he loved.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his quiet passions, and the lasting memories he leaves behind. David will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joanne Bowers, 2 sons: Jason (Stacey) Bowers and Brandon (Frances) Bowers, 3 granddaughters: Katelynn Bowers, Piper Bowers, and Marley Bowers, and 1 grandson, Noah Bowers.

The family chose cremation. There will be a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
