David Allen Bozung, 77, passed away at his home on September 3, 2025, in the Village of Airport Drive, Missouri. He was born on January 8, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Allen and Dora (U'Ren) Bozung.

He graduated from Southfield High School in Southfield, Michigan. He honored his patriotic calling by serving as ADJ in the US Navy's P3 Squadron during the Vietnam War, an experience that instilled in him a profound sense of duty and resilience. David furthered his education by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Media Mass Communications from the University of Sioux Falls.

David's entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the Owner and Operator of US Industrial Services Landscaping. He later shared his expertise in Plant Operations Management and Environmental Services with the ServiceMaster Corporation. Continuing his journey as a businessman and advocate for clean water, he founded and helmed Aquathin Pure Water, Inc, ensuring its success through his visionary leadership.

Aviation was among David's passions, and he proudly held both private and commercial pilot licenses. A dedicated and accomplished aviator, he soared through life with the same fervor he brought to all his endeavors. Throughout his life, David's enthusiasm for motorcycles never waned, a testament to his innate sense of adventure that began in childhood and was a wellspring of joy for him.

His love of animals was evident in his commitment to raising and showing Arabian horses. His favorite, however, was his dog Benny, a little Yorkshire terrier who was a constant companion for 14 years until August of 2017.

A pillar of the community, David served as President and CEO of Siouxland Christian Broadcasting's TEAM TV, broadcasting faith and fellowship into homes across the region. His dedication to his community was further demonstrated through his role as a Trustee for the Village of Airport Drive. This service, alongside his active position on the board of Helping Hands Ministry, reflected David's sincere desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Spirituality played a central role in David's life. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal lord and savior in the spring of 1973, following the death of his father. He and his wife Susan are active members at Bethel Worship Center in Joplin. They also hosted a weekly Bible study in their home until April of 2025. David's passion was intercessory pray from the time he was a new Christian until his recent death. If he knew you had a need you were being bathed in prayer, daily.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Bozung; daughter, Pamela Carlson (Ryan), Lorrie Neuharth (Ryan), Corrie Bozung; step-daughters, Paula Morris (Derek), Joanne Wilson (Scott), Sarah Kahley (Brad); siblings, Ray Bozung (Ruth), Dennis Bozung (Cindy), Rita Brymer (Frank), Ann Osborn (Vern), A. Thomas Bozung (Christine); and 10 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 1o'clock pm at Bethel Worship Center, 3125 W. 20th, Joplin, MO. Burial to follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, MO. The family invites friends for a time of visitation on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
