David Arnold Brooks passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on July 7, 1936, David was one of nine children born to Alvin and Evelyn Brooks. His legacy lives on through the love, strength, and cherished memories he left behind. He had a great "dad joke" sense of humor that he loved to use on his grandchildren. Dave is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Alvin, Howard, John, Raymond, and Dennis. Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Sarah (nee Vento), and their four children: Judy (James) Danek, Donna Waszak, Michael (Jill) Brooks, and Gail (Brad) Seiler. Papa to seven grandchildren: Sarah, Matthew, Carrie, Emily, David, Angela, and Eric; and 14 greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Dave is also survived by his three sisters: Barbara (late Keith)Struthers, Nancy (DuWayne) Schaenzer, and Kathy Brooks (John Radtke), and sister-in-law Judy Brooks (late Raymond). Dave cherished family vacations and trips to Las Vegas. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and his warmth and guidance will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the caregivers at St. Francis Health Services for the care they provided to Dave throughout the last years of his life. Private services will be held.
