David Brown Obituary
Mr. David Eugene Brown, age 80 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Baptist Memorial General Hospital – Union City. Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be conducted on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 1PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lasset officiating. Interment will follow in Bells Chapel Cemetery.
Eugene was born May 6, 1944, in Mason Hall, TN; the son of the late Harry David & Frances Mae Toombs Brown. He retired from the Gibson County Courthouse where he was a maintenance worker.
Mr. Brown is survived by his son, Kelly Brown (Alicia); brother, Robert Brown (Jamie); sister, Jackie Larkin (Steve); three grandchildren, Kimberly (John) Garland, Robert ‘BJ’ (Hannah) Blurton, Adam Brown; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Jean Brown (2016); and his parents.
Pallbearers are Destry Brown, Kim Reese, Andy Alford, Adam Brown, Robert Burton, and John Garland. Honorary pallbearers are Bryce Ellison, and Frankie Sanford.
The family will receive friends from 11:30AM-1PM on Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Rutherford chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. David Eugene Brown.
