David Bruce Obituary

David C. Bruce, born on October 7, 1974, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away on November 5, 2025, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, whose life was characterized by love, resilience, and a passion for the outdoors.

David dedicated his career to the field of construction as a painter, where he exhibited his craftsmanship and dedication. He proudly attended New Albany High School and built a life rich with experiences and relationships that would bring joy to himself and those around him. His time spent racing motocross, playing his guitar, riding motorcycles, and engaging with RC cars showcased his adventurous spirit. David was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. He cherished these outdoor activities with his children, viewing them as not just hobbies, but essential moments of connection and joy.

Family was at the heart of David’s life. He was married the love of his life Christina Bruce on July 11, 1998 in Clarksville, Indiana, and together they enjoyed a life filled with laughter and shared passions. David’s pride and joy were his children, Sara Bruce and DJ Bruce, whose accomplishments and happiness were the highlights of his life. He was deeply grateful for the support and love from his parents, David L. and Sherry Bruce, and held a special place in his heart for his sisters, Tammy (Mike) Hardin and Sherry (Will) Popp.

David's extended family included his in-laws, Rose (Mike) Brown, and brother-in-law, Robert (Tasha) Brown, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends who admired him for his generous spirit and kind-hearted nature. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, whose memories he cherished throughout his life.

The community is invited to honor and celebrate the life of David C. Bruce during a visitation on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Both events will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN. Burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana

David's life was a testament to the beauty of love and family, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know him.

The family requests that contributions in David’s memory be made to donor's choice.
