David Allen Bruflodt
September 26, 1954 - October 4, 2025
David Allen Bruflodt, a man of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born on September 26, 1954, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, David was the beloved son of Joseph Allen and Lois Marie (Ude) Bruflodt. From a young age, he was known for his reliability, kindness, and a heart grounded in service to others-qualities that would define his life.
On July 20, 1985, David married Patti Ann MacArthur, beginning a 40-year journey marked by love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they built a life rooted in faith and family, and their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.
David worked for many years at Target Corporation, where he was admired for his integrity, work ethic, and calm demeanor. He approached every task, challenge, and celebration with quiet dedication-always someone you could count on.
Outside of work, David found joy in the simple things: classic cartoons, old-time television shows, and spending time with his family. His sense of humor, often dry and well-timed, brought warmth, and levity too many moments. Above all, David was a man deeply devoted to God. His faith guided his steps and shaped the way he lived-with humility, compassion, and unwavering trust in God's goodness.
David is survived by his stepchildren, Adam (Amanda) Thompson, Joy (Peter) MacArthur, and daughter-in-law Crispina Arkin; and his six grandchildren: Joel Thompson, Violet Arkin, Aidan Thompson, Marcel Arkin, Sophia Thompson, and Grace Thompson.
He is also survived by his siblings: sisters Diane (Denny) and Debra; brothers Dale (Kenda), Daryl (Lisa), and Denis (Sharie); and by his nieces and nephews: Tyler (Ashley) Bruflodt, Nathan (Megan) Bruflodt, Jacob Bruflodt, Rachel Bruflodt, Alan Bruflodt, and Bret Bruflodt.
In addition, David is remembered with love by his many cousins and dear friends, whose lives were touched by his kindness, laughter, and loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patti; his parents, Joe and Lois Bruflodt; two brothers, Dan and Dean Bruflodt; his in-laws, Douglas and Audrey MacArthur; and his stepson, Eric Thompson.
A memorial service to honor David's life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Washburn-McReavy Crystal Lake Funeral Chapel and Cemetery, 3816 N Penn Ave,
