David Burres Obituary

David F. Burres, age 80, of Wauseon, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. He was born on April 16, 1944 in Muncie, Indiana to Blaine and Betty Burres. After Dave retired, he enjoyed a good game of golf when he was younger and tinkering around and fixing things around the home. One thing his sons will remember was the 5-gallon bucket he carried around with his many tools that he knew how to use. He was a talented maintenance man and could fix just about anything. He will also be remembered as a sweet guy who loved a good, friendly conversation because he never met a stranger. Dave was a member of American Legion Post #265 and VFW Post #7424.
Dave is survived by three sons, Raymond (Kim) Burres of Wauseon, Tom Burres of Delta and Kevin Snyder of Arizona; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eric (Betty) Burres of Neapolis, Ohio and Kim Burres of West Palm Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Susie Burres; one sister and one brother.
A Celebration of Life for Dave will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at VFW Post #7427, 1133 N. Ottokee St., Wauseon, Ohio.
