David Ross Burtis, 65, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at his residence in Monticello.
He was born on October 10, 1960. His long time companion, Anjanette "Angie" Gedcus preceded him in death.
David had many interests and skills allowing him to work as a horse jockey, in factories, construction, at Culligan and Burger King until his retirement. He liked to be outside gardening, camping or fishing. He enjoyed a cold Budweiser.
He is survived by bonus children, Alison Gedcus (companion Brad Gipson) of Monticello, Kayla Gedcus (spouse Hannah Brom) of Burnettsville, Hope (Aron) Albrecht of Evansville; and eight bonus grandchildren.
A private celebration of David's life will be held at a later date.
