DAVID LEROY BURTON
David Leroy Burton, 74, Centralia, MO passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 4, 1951, in Vermillion, South Dakota the son of the late LeRoy and Donna (Dennison) Burton.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son Corey Burton and his wife Alicia of Centralia, MO; three Brothers Lyle Burton and his wife Roseanna of Prescott, IA, Gary Burton of Amazonia, MO and Mike Burton of Jefferson City, MO; three grandchildren Isabella, Layla and Samuel; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, three brothers Bradley Burton, Roger Burton and Bobby Burton preceded him in death.
David served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam era. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and later as a truck driver. He enjoyed horseback riding, watching movies, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 6276 or to the USO (for electric wheelchairs), c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
