David J. Busch, 84, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI; with Fr. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Rose Church Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Family & friends may call on Friday, June 20th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI; also on Saturday, June 21st from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

David was born on February 27, 1941 to John & Edna (Fleege) Busch in Hazel Green, WI. He attended St. Rose School and graduated from Cuba City High School in 1959. He married Mary Jane DeMuth on June 6, 1964 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI. Together, David & Mary Jane farmed for over 35 years and raised their 6 children, and later moved to Cuba City in 1999. He was a janitor at St. Rose School and cut grass at St. Rose Church after retiring from farming. He was a handyman that could fix almost anything. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Cole Acres Country Club. David enjoyed golfing, softball, dancing, music, and loved a good game of euchre. He was on a men's card team for over 50 years. But most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Jane; 6 children: Julie (Tom) Kaiser of Cuba City, WI, Jim (Clarissa) Busch of Cuba City, WI, Gary (Tiffany) Busch of South Wayne, WI, Lynn (A.J.) Howery of Kailua-Kona, HI, Lisa (Aaron) Cross of Menomonee Falls, WI & Alan (Laura) Busch of Sussex, WI; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, with 2 greats on the way; 2 sisters: Pat Jogerst of Florida and Mary Ann (Robert) Fox of Bloomington, WI; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Busch of Cuba City, WI; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bob & Jimmy, a brother-in-law, David Jogerst and in-laws, Clarence & Evelyn DeMuth.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a David J. Busch Memorial Fund has been established.
