David Gene Cagle

David Gene Cagle, 54, joined our Heavenly Father on October 20, 2023. He was born in Dalhart, Texas to LeRoy and Janis Cagle. David was married to his high school sweetheart Angela Peden. They were blessed with two beautiful children and 36 years together. He was very talented in the businesses he owned, houses he built, and his master grill skills.
David enjoyed his peach orchard and planted hundreds of trees in his lifetime throughout the Lubbock area. Family and friends were most important to David. His steadfast love was beyond measure. He had an obligation to always help others, and he never met a stranger. His charismatic wit and sense of humor was a gift to all that knew him. David was a warrior in his battle against cancer, victoriously winning eight precious years to remain among us. He was a blessing that will stay with us forever.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Mother and Step-father, Janis and Ronnie Darby. His wife, Angela Cagle. Daughter; Jaqueline Adrian Cagle, Son, David Matthew Cagle. Brother, Robert Cagle. Sisters, Cherry (Jeff) Love, Connie Cagle, and Tina (Lance) Bland all of Lubbock. Many Nephews, Nieces, and Grand Nieces; and his lifelong friend Vernon Farthing III.
He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Cagle.
Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, October 30th at Church on the Rock South Campus, 10503 Slide Road. Donations in his honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
