David Edgar Camby, 76, of Murphy, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, peacefully at home in Murphy, NC. David was born February 12, 1948, in Asheville, NC to Junior and Bernice Camby.
David was preceded in death by father, Junior Camby; mother, Bernice Camby.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Camby; daughters Melanie Osborn (Donald) and Cara Bradley. Grandchildren Bradley Bowen (Megan), Charleigh Radford (Adam), Tim Osborn (Judy), Corey Bowen, Bristol Long and Braxton Cook. Great grandchildren Mason Radford, Emery Bowen, Harleigh Bowen, Connor Bowen, Jaxon Bowen, Amelia Radford, and Colten Loving-Bowen.
David was self employed with his own tree service company. He loved spending time with his family especially all of his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, going to antique stores, motorcycles and car shows. He loved all animals with his best friend being his chihuahua "Jewel".
There will be a private family viewing.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Donald Osborn, Adam Radford, Bradley Bowen, Corey Bowen, Mason Radford, and Bristol Long. Honorary pallbearers will be Braxton Cook, Connor Bowen, Jaxon Bowen and Colten Loving-Bowen.
Interment will follow at Hanging Dog Baptist Cemetery with a private family graveside service, it will be officiated by Todd Chester.
