David Faron Caperton, age 57, of Westpoint, TN, passed away on September 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 10, 1968, in Florence, AL, to D.F. and Shirley Ruth Tidwell Caperton.
On February 6, 2004, David joined hands and hearts with his beloved wife, Andrea Michelle Lovelace. Their journey together was filled with love, laughter, and many adventures, creating memories that will forever be treasured.
David was a dedicated Pipefitter at Pettus Mechanical and a proud member of the Pipefitters Local 760, embodying a strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. His professional life frequently took him on travels, which he loved, yet no matter where he went, his heart always returned home to his family.
An avid outdoorsman, David found joy in every inch of nature. Whether it was hunting, fishing, canoeing, or 4-wheeling, he embraced each outdoor adventure with enthusiasm and passion.
As we celebrate David's life, we remember his kindness, his adventurous spirit, and the warmth he brought into our lives.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Michelle Lovelace Caperton of Westpoint, TN; parents, D.F. and Shirley Ruth Tidwell Caperton of Iron City, TN; son, David Austin Caperton and wife Hanna of Killen, AL; and sister, Vickie Butler and husband Walter of Iron City, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father/mother-in-law, Joel and Shirley Lovelace; and grandparents, Ozro and Nana Tidwell, and Bud and Chapel Caperton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Ricky Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Hollis Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Caperton, Jason Caperton, Tim Nelson, Mark Agee, Kenneth Martin, and Darren Arnett.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Wade Gambrell.
