David Gerald Causey

HILLSBOROUGH – David Causey, 84, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at his daughter's home. He was born in Durham, NC to the late Surgeon and Sadie Causey. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby Jeanne Kelly Causey; son, Timothy Allen; 2 grandchildren and 2great grandchildren.
David was a true believer and loved his Lord and Savior. He longed for the day he would be reunited with his wife, Ruby. David was a devoted family man. He had a great sense of humor. David was a mountain enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed the time he spent in the mountains. He cherished time spent camping with his family, cooking out, and sharing stories around the campfire. These moments of togetherness were among his most treasured memories. His longest family road trip took them from North Carolina to California, stopping in every state to appreciate the beauty of nature. He loved to take pictures, especially of nature and wildlife.
Mr. Causey is survived by his loving children: daughters Tamara Yvette Causey (Mickey)Tapp and Anitra Causey Navarro, and son Anthony (Evetta) Allen, along with daughter-in-law Barbara Allen; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Central Baptist Church in Mebane, officiated by Rev. Mike Faust. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
