David Chalfant Obituary
Born in Hill City, Kansas, to parents, Loren and Myrtle Moore) Chalfant, he was a dedicated teacher, football coach, artist and historian and will be remembered for his strength, resolve and dedication to teaching and coaching. He is survived by his wife, Joni Marie (Moorhous) Chalfant, and children, Morgan and Aubony.
David was passionate about early American history (particularly Native American culture, The Civil War, fur trappers, bison hunters, and various militaria), art, metal detecting, hunting, and of course, football. A funeral service will be held at the Stinemetz Funeral Home Thursday, January 16th at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to the Physical Therapy Department of the Graham County Hospital, Hill City, Kansas. Burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City, Kansas. Stinemetz Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
