David L. Chandler, 69, of Crown, PA, formerly of Sharon, PA, passed away early Saturday morning, January 24, 2026, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless, PA.

David was born June 18, 1956, in Sharon, a son of David A. and Beverly Jean (Tennant) Chandler, and was a 1975 graduate of Sharon High School.

David loved quiet time at his home deep in the woods of Crown, PA, where he enjoyed watching and feeding the deer, wild turkeys, and numerous stray cats who eagerly awaited his arrival knowing his car would be filled with bags of cat food and corn for the deer and turkeys.

David had a lifelong love of motorcycles, started racing as a teenager, and continued into his 30s. He excelled racing 3-wheelers, and with Gear Racewear as his sponsor, he traveled the country and spent winters racing the circuit in Florida. David developed a brother-like bond with friends Al, Kevin, Steve, and Bruce, and for 20+ years they met weekly for breakfast and dinner to discuss their motorcycles and plan their rides. David’s favorites being the Blue Ridge Parkway, the New England states, particularly Watkins Glen, New York, and the annual ride to the Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, Alabama. They attended numerous BMW rallies across the country.

David held several positions in the automotive field, including Service Manager at Baglier Buick Cadillac in Sharon, and for the past 28 years as General Manager of Henley’s Truck Cover Center in Edinburg, PA.

Surviving are his sister, Terry Evans; niece Caly (Mark Keenan) Evans; nephew, Dr. Jack (Molly) Evans; and David's fiancée, Pam Neiswanger. David loved his niece and nephew as if they were his own children.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother-in-law, Joe Evans.

David’s family would like to thank the staff of UPMC Hillman at the Horizon/Farrell hospital for their compassionate care for the past 3 ½ years.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
