David Lee Cochran Sept 10, 1946 - April 21, 2025
Seventy-Eight Years Young, David was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Southern California. In 2011 David moved to West Point, Ga where he married his best friend and love, Lucy. David is preceded in death by his parents Reverend Jesse & Jo Cochran, as well as his sister Mary Jo Cochran.
He is survived by his wife Lucy Cochran, his siblings Ruth Lange & Jesse (Reva) Cochran; children, Brad (Corrie) Cochran, Diana (Rob) Autry, Cassie (Orry) Jeter, Fred Gentner; grandkids, Kylie Schultz, Amber, Ethan & Aaron Cochran, Jordan (Thomas) Hunter, Lucy, Andrew & Joy Eastmead, Emily & Tommy Jeter; great-grandkids, Lori Anne & Thomas Hunter, Jr.
David served our country in the Army for 6 Years. Thereafter, he was a Master Mechanic for Toyota/Lexus for 27 years, and a Self-Taught Computer Craftsman. David loved to tinker with anything he could take apart and try to improve. Even when his hands started to fail him, his wife Lucy would be his hands for those small intricate items. He loved to go for drives, no destination in mind. David was a man of Integrity with a gruff exterior and a soft heart. He could be described as a Devoted Christian, Avid Animal lover, Jokester, Pro/College Football & Nascar Fan, and Country Music Enthusiast. There wasn't a person that David would meet that he wouldn't make a lasting impact through his love and compassion. His smile, laugh, and quiet contemplation will be forever remembered.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel. Family will have a time of visitation beginning at 12:00 until service hour.
