David Gerard Comardelle was born January 10, 1955, in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph and Mary DeSalvo Comardelle. He passed away September 3, 2024, in Slidell, LA at the age of 69. He was a resident of Loranger, a retired Instrumentation and Electrical Technician with Chevron Oil and Gas Refinery, and a member of First Louisiana Special Battalion Company B. Tigers. David is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karla Wiseman Comardelle; son, Earl Smith; brother, Barry Comardelle; sister, Lynn Mansfield (John); grandchildren, MiKayla Heaney, Dylan Abadie, Connor Smith, Cambre Smith, Brittanie Heaney, and Lacie Coutee; great grandchildren, Blaze Heaney, Elliana Heaney, Malachi Heaney, and David Michael Heaney; nephews, Nicholas Comardelle, Chris Guidry, and Ryan Comardelle; and niece, Natalie Comardelle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Joey Comardelle; daughter, Katina Smith; and nephew, Todd Guidry. Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Monday, September 9, 2024, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 12:00 p.m. conducted by Deacon Nat Garafola.
