Earlsboro, OK resident David Lynn Conger passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the age of 71. David was born on July 25, 1954 in Seminole, OK to Jack Eugene and Luella (Parsons) Conger. He grew up in Seminole and attended Varnum High School graduating in 1972. He then attended Seminole Junior College and East Central University graduating with his degree in graphic design. David worked as a welder/fabricator in the oil and gas industry.
David devoted himself to taking care of his parents until they passed. He served as secretary treasurer and maintenance and lawn care at Ideal Street Baptist Church for over 25 years. David enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, bull riding, horses and taking road trips.
David is survived by his wife, Jean Orrell of the home; son and daughter-in-law, James David and Gayla Hewitt of Harrah, OK; brother, James Wayne Conger and sister-in-law Toni Null of Oklahoma City; sister, Pam Gann of Bethany; two grandchildren, Shelby Hodge and husband Miles Hodge, Wesley Webster and wife Dayana Webster; three great grandchildren, Braxton Lee Webster, Ella Dawn Hodge and Kensley Gail Hodge and many other family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard Don Conger and Shane Conger.
Those serving as casket bearers will be Wesley Webster, Miles Hodge, Dalton Stewart, Randy Don Perry, Corbin Garrison and Larry Sawyer. Honorary casket bearers will be Gene Smith, Dyrle Davidson, Kenny Pennel, Randy Neal and Don Nix.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK with Heath Sapp officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
