Janet Lynn Dunning Conner, a beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in McLeansville, North Carolina. Born on September 27, 1957, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was 68 years old at the time of her passing.

Janet dedicated her life to being a homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She had a passion for dining out and particularly enjoyed visiting Herbie's Place in Greensboro. In her earlier years, she found joy in riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom and adventure they brought until her health no longer permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lois Korem Dunning. Janet is survived by her devoted husband, John Conger, of the home. She also leaves behind her siblings: Dan Dunning, Larry Dunning, J. G. Preistley, and John Dunning, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Janet's life will be held at ten o'clock in the morning on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service. Mr. John McLendon will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, offering an opportunity for loved ones to gather and share memories of a life well-lived.

Janet will be remembered for her warmth, her love for family, and the simple joys she found in everyday life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
